Map One: The Caves of Chaos

The Caves of Chaos is a ravine in the hills north of Kendall Keep, riddled with cave entrances. The ravine is over four hundred feet long and over a hundred feet wide, with a narrow stream (the Goblinwater) trickling down its centre.

Cave Locations

The caves are arranged in tiers, with the lower caves (near the stream) being less dangerous and the upper caves more perilous:

Lower Tier (Near Stream)

• Cave A - Kobold lair (~40 kobolds)
• Cave B - Bandit hideout (~30 bandits)
• Cave C - Former orc lair (now undead)
• Cave D - Goblin warren (~60 goblins)
• Cave E - Troll cave (1 troll)

Middle Tier

• Cave F - Former hobgoblin lair (undead garrison)
• Cave G - Fungus cave (otyugh, wererats)
• Cave H - Bugbear caves (~30 bugbears)

Upper Tier (Most Dangerous)

• Cave I - The Labyrinth (minotaur)
• Cave J - Necromancer's lair
• Cave K - The Hidden Temple

• Cave mouths are marked with red outlines
• Doors are marked with small squares

• Slopes and stairs are indicated
• The Goblinwater stream runs along the bottom of the ravine
